Happy Halloween

I’m guest posting over at Vestavamps today, so you’ll have to hop on over there for the spooky details + recipe. I can’t remember exactly, but I think we originally met through Instagram, a combination of social media plus pretty pictures. Our picture subjects are very similar—food, which was the start of an instant friendship! I think they call that Instafriend these days. Ha! I’m cracking myself up over here. It’s pitiful.

In case you need anymore prompting to check out this guest post, I’ll give you a sneak peek:  Your door bell rings. Who could it be?, you wonder. You open the front door only to find an empty doorstep. Upon second glance you see…

Oh the suspense!

I made these cookies and I worried that the bittersweet chocolate would make them too bitter…I was wrong. These are delicious and buttery. The salt and the chocolate accompany each other perfectly. I didn’t use the Reese’s Pieces in the batter, instead I placed them on top (with a little push) after I removed them from the fridge and cut them, about 4 per cookie. Perfect!

Hey Melissa! I made these for a family Halloween party and everyone went nuts over them! I too added the Reese’s after cutting to prevent broken pieces. Thanks for the great recipe!
